On April 1, 2017, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China issued the industrial standard of hot-melt adhesives for low-pressure injection molding packaging (hereinafter referred to as "the standard"), and the standard number HG/T 5051-2016 was officially implemented. The standard standardizes various indicators of hot-melt adhesives in the low-voltage injection molding packaging market segment, filling the gap between national standards and industry standards.
      Hot melt adhesive and low pressure injection molding process
      Low-voltage injection molding technology is developed for harness protection in the automotive industry. It has been widely used in the packaging and protection of core electronic and electrical components in the automotive electronics, smart home, wearable devices, 4G/5G communications and other industries, helping to improve the reliability of products and maintain consistent performance. Polyamide hot melt adhesive (hereinafter referred to as "hot melt adhesive"), as the raw material of low pressure injection molding process, has a direct impact on packaging effect and terminal product quality.
      The standard was proposed by China Petroleum (601857) and the Chemical Industry Federation and drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009. It specifies specific standards from five aspects: naming classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, transportation and storage. It is under the jurisdiction of the National Technical Committee for Adhesive Standardization and is the first domestic industry standard for hot-melt adhesives for low-pressure injection molding. Shanghai Light Industry Research Institute, Shanghai Rubber Products Research Institute, Shanghai Liri Chemical New Materials Co., Ltd. and Suzhou Koniger Electronic Technology Co., Ltd. are the drafting units of this standard.
      Standards play a good role in market regulation
      The standard was officially implemented on April 1, 2017, and will play a good market regulation role in the hot melt adhesive industry in terms of production, inspection and use. Once accepted and adopted by all parties, this standard becomes the technical basis that all parties should abide by, and is legally binding. As the technical language and technical basis of the hot melt adhesive industry, standards play an important role in ensuring product quality, improving market trust, promoting commodity circulation, and maintaining fair competition.
